Steven Soderberg has a great Interview at NPR. He talks about using the Red on Che and even mentions the Scarlet in the Audio Portion about the Red.
Also take a look at the two clips from Che. As Steven said they nearly did no lighting, and Man do the Clips look good. Don’t know if they had additional lighting, but at least the “in the Jungle one” doesn’t look like.
